Beatles tribute band, 1964, returning to New Bern

NEW BERN, N.C.–The band that’s billed by Rolling Stone magazine as “The Best Beatles Tribute on Earth” is returning to New Bern.  1964–Mark Benson, Graham Alexander, Tom Work, and Bobby Potter–will perform Saturday, June 30th at the Grover C. Fields Performing Arts Center at 7:30pm. 

The accolades placed on 1964 are not unfounded.  In over two decades the band has sold out shows at some of the country’s top venues, including Carnegie Hall and the Red Rock Amphitheater.  The band has also had nods from Entertainment Tonight, the former Nashville Network (TNN) now Spike TV, and USA Network among others. 

Tickets for the band’s upcoming performance are $37.  They can be purchased at the New Bern Convention Center, Fuller’s Music in New Bern, Guitars, Etc. in Havelock, and Harris Teeter stores in New bern and Morehead City.  Reserved VIP and preferred seating are no longer available.  Group seating for groups of te or more is still available and can be reserved.  But groupsmust callto purchase tickets.  Interested groups can call 252-636-0845 to purchase tickets. Proceeds from ticket sales will go to benefit the New Bern Civitan Club and its charitable work.  The New Bern Civitan Club works with Special Olympics, the Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina, Operation Santa Claus, and a Fishing Round-up.
