ESPN Launches 15th Season of ‘CGD’ Next Week At Duke

ESPN’s College GameDay Covered by State Farm launches its 15th season next week.

The network’s flagship college basketball program is scheduled to premiere at 11 a.m. on Jan. 19 with coverage of the Duke Blue Devils and the No. 4 Virginia Cavaliers.  Live coverage of the game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Rece Davis will anchor the morning broadcast.  He will be joined by analysts Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg and Jay Williams for additional commentary.  The program will broadcast live from Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Next week’s season debut of College GameDay Covered by State Farm will mark the ninth time that the program will have aired live from the venue.  That surpasses the program’s record, set at Kansas’ Phog Allen Fieldhouse.

Duke’s 2018 recruiting class features the top three-ranked players in the class, according to ESPN.  Two of those players — Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett — currently sit fisrt and second in the 2019 mock NBA draft on ESPN.com.

Virginia comes into next weeks’ matchup with its own strengths. Three of the team’s top four scorers from last season are back this season, including All-ACC player Kyle Guy.

ESPN To Feature Key ACC Matchup On 100th Episode of ‘College GameDay’

ESPN’s flagship college basketball program will mark a special anniversary with coverage of a key ACC men’s basketball matchup next weekend.

College GameDay Covered by State Farm will air its 100th episode next Saturday, Feb. 18. The broadcast will come live from the site of a showdown between UNC and Virginia.

The program will air live beginning at 11 a.m. ET on ESPN with an evening edition leading into the network’s pre-game Saturday Primetime presented by AT&T broadcast at 8 p.m. ET.  Game coverage is scheduled to begin at 8:15 p.m. ET.

Rece Davis will anchor ESPN’s 11 a.m. edition of College GameDay Covered by State Farm.  Davis will be joined by analysts Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg and Jay Williams for additional commentary.

Dan Shulman will have the call for the game.  He will be joined by Jay Bilas for additional commentary.  Reporter Maria Taylor will be courtside for all of the latest in-game news and interviews.

Saturday’s broadcast will mark the 16th time UNC has appeared on College GameDay Covered by State Farm.  The Tarheels currently sit 8th in the AP’s NCAA Men’s College Basketball Top 25 standings while the Cavaliers currently sit 12th.

The teams are much closer in the ACC standings. UNC currently sits second and Virginia third.  Both teams trail the Florida State Seminoles, who currently lead the conference standings at 21-4 overall and 9-3 in the conference.

ESPN Announces Broadcast Site For Feb. 4 ‘CGD’ Broadcast

ESPN’s College GameDay Covered by State Farm will air live from Gainesville, Fla next Saturday.

The program will air live at 11 a.m. on ESPN from the site of the Saturday Primetime presented by AT&T matchup pitting No. 4 Kentucky against No. 25 Florida.  Game coverage begins at 8:15 p.m. EST on ESPN.

Saturday night’s Top 25 showdown will be preceded by a late edition of College GameDay Covered by State Farm at 8 p.m. EST.  Rece Davis will anchor the broadcast and will be joined at the desk by analysts Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg and Jay Williams.

Bilas will be part of the broadcast team for the Wildcats/Gators game. He will join Dan Shulman and reporter Maria Taylor for the call of the game.

ESPN wraps up its 2016 season of College GameDay Covered by State Farm this weekend. And the season finale will come from the site of one of the week’s most anticipated college basketball matchups.

ESPN ends another season of College GameDay Covered by State Farm this weekend. This weekend’s season-ending edition of its flagship college basketball program will come live from Cameron Indoor Stadium on the campus of Duke University. The broadcast, scheduled for an 11am ET air time, will preview the season’s second “Battle of the Blues.” That is the season’s second showdown between Duke and UNC. In the teams’ first meeting this season Duke came from behind late in the game to beat UNC by a single point 74 – 73. Rece Davis will anchor Saturday’s broadcast of College GameDay Covered by State Farm. He will be joined by analysts Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg, and Jay Williams. This weekend’s edition of College GameDay Covered by State Farm will be the sixth time that GameDay will have ended its season at Duke. And for the 11th time overall UNC will be the road team. It will make the third time this season overall that UNC will make a visitor appearance from the site of a GameDay broadcast. The team’s previous two appearances were February 6th at Notre Dame and February 20th at Virginia. It is also the eighth time overall that GameDay has come from the site of a Duke-UNC rivalry game.

This week’s edition of Saturday Primetime Presented by DIRECTV is scheduled for a 6:30pm start time on ESPN. Dan Shulman will have the call for Saturday’s showdown. He will be joined by Jay Bilas for additional commentary. Reporter Shannon Spake will be courtside for all of the game’s latest headlines, interviews and news.

ESPN’s College GameDay Covered by State Farm is coming back to Virginia this weekend.

College GameDay Covered by State Farm will broadcast live from the campus of No. 7 Virginia this Saturday, February 27th. The network’s flagship college basketball program will air live from the home of the Cavaliers ahead of the team’s matchup with No. No. 5 UNC Saturday night. The game is ESPN’s spotlight game this week on Saturday Primetime presented by DIRECTV. It will air live on ESPN at 6:30pm ET. Saturday morning’s edition of College GameDay Covered by State Farm will air live at 11am ET. There will also be an evening edition of the broadcast leading up to Saturday night’s game.

Rece Davis anchors College GameDay Covered by State Farm. He is joined by analysts Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg, and Jay Williams. Bilas will join Dan Shulman for the game’s coverage. Reporter Shannon Spake will also be on hand for additional commentary and news throughout the game.

Saturday’s matchup between the Cavs and Tarheels marks the tenth time overall that UNC has been the road team at the site of a GameDay broadcast. That is a record for the team. It also marks the second time this season that UNC has been the road team at a GameDay site.

Along with the details for Saturday’s broadcasts, the times for ESPN’s netflex games have been announced. They are as follows: Texas Tech at No. 2 Kansas (ESPN, Noon); Rhode Island at No. 15 Dayton (ESPN2, Noon); No. 12 Arizona at Utah (ESPN, 2 p.m.); Illinois State at Wichita State (ESPN2, 2 p.m.); No. 6 Maryland at No. 17 Purdue (ESPN, 4 p.m.); No. 19 Notre Dame at Florida State (ESPN2, 4 p.m.); Kansas State at No. 13 Iowa State (ESPN2, 6 p.m.); Florida at LSU (ESPN, 8:30 p.m.); Gonzaga at BYU (ESPN2, 8 p.m.); Fresno State at New Mexico (ESPN2, 10 p.m.) and UC Irvine at UC Davis (ESPN2, Midnight).

Each week, the site for College GameDay Covered by State Farm will be announced one week ahead of the given games. This ensures visits to the sites of top college basketball storylines and games that appear on the ESPN networks. ESPN’s College GameDay To Make First-Ever Visit To Texas A&M Saturday

ESPN’s College GameDay Covered by State Farm will make its first ever trip to the campus of Texas A&M this coming Saturday.

College GameDay Covered by State Farm will broadcast live from the campus of Texas A&M for the first time ever on Saturday, February 20th. The broadcast is for the Aggies’ matchup against the #22 Kentucky Wildcats. The program will air live at 6:30pm ET on ESPN ahead of Saturday night’s broadcast of Saturday Primetime presented by DIRECTV. There will also be a morning edition of College GameDay Covered by State Farm that will air live at 11am ET on ESPN.

Saturday’s matchup between the Wildcats and Aggies marks the second time this season that Kentucky has been the road team at a GameDay site and seventh time overall that it has played the part of visitor. The last time that Kentucky was the visiting team at a GameDay broadcast was January 30th when the Wildcats were on the road against Kansas.

In addition to Saturday night’s broadcast of GameDay and the game between the Wildcats and Aggies there are other updates that should be noted for upcoming games. There are new times for the previously announced netflex matchups. They are as follows: Duke at No. 13 Louisville (ESPN, Noon); Georgia at Vanderbilt (ESPN2, Noon); No. 21 Baylor at No. 24 Texas (ESPN, 2 p.m.); Pittsburgh at Syracuse (ESPN2, 2 p.m.); No. 3 Oklahoma at No. 10 West Virginia (ESPN, 4 p.m.); UConn at Cincinnati (ESPN2, 4 p.m.) and No. 18 Purdue at Indiana (ESPN, 8:30 p.m.).

ESPN’s College GameDay Covered By State Farm Opens 2015 Season In Iowa

Officials with ESPN have announced the site of the network’s first broadcast in its 2015 college basketball broadcast season.

ESPN will open the 2015 season of College GameDay covered by State Farm on Saturday, January 17th in Ames, Iowa. The first in the network’s eight-week season, the broadcast will come ahead of the Saturday Primetime presented by DirecTV matchup between #17 Iowa State and #12 Kansas. Tipoff for the Big 12 contest is scheduled for 9pm ET. College GameDay covered by State Farm will cover not only the matchup between Iowa State and Kansas but all of the day’s games. It all starts at 10am ET on ESPNU. ESPN picks up coverage at 11am ET and then offers another edition at 8pm ET.

Audiences will see some new faces throughout this season of ESPN’s College GameDay covered by State Farm. Analysts Seth Greenberg and Jay Williams join the returning team of host Rece Davis and analyst Jay Bilas. Dan Shulman will also be back along with reporter Shannon Spake. They will be joined by Jay Bilas for full coverage of the matchup between the Hawkeyes and Jayhawks.

Over on ESPN, #14 West Virginia will be on the road against #10 Texas the same day. Tipoff for that game is scheduled for 6:15pm ET. Dave Flemming and Fran Fraschilla will have the call for the game.  The site for each week’s broadcast of College GameDay covered by State Farm will be announced a week ahead of those games within the show’s broadcast.
