Fire Follows premiered the video for its latest single this month.

The band debuted the lyric video for its new single, ‘Crimson Rose’ Feb. 2. The song is the band’s first new single since the release of its single, ‘Father O Father‘ last July. That song’s premiere came less than two months after the band premiered its then latest single, ‘Home’ and its companion lyric video.

The video features the song’s lyrics placed over footage of various items, such as a dancer, a person with a TV for a head, and blood-soaked sheet music. The band’s new single plays over the collective imagery as the video plays out.

The musical arrangement featured in ‘Crimson Rose’ opens with a lone piano line and vocals before eventually launching into a full-on rap-rock/nu-metal style composition. That nu-metal approach and sound is easily comparable to works from the likes of P.O.D. and Discrepancies.

Front man and founder Chris Watt talked about the song’s lyrical theme in a brief statement.

“The track could be thought of as a love son, centered around overcoming obstacles,” he said.

‘Crimson Rose’ was mixed by Kellen McGregor (Memphis May Fire) and mastered by Maor Applebaum.

Fire Follows Premieres New Single, ‘Father O’ Father.’ Companion Video

Independent hard rock band Fire Follows debuted its latest single and video this month.

The band premiered its new single, ‘Father O’ Father‘ and its lyric video July 16. The premiere comes less than two months after the band premiered its then latest single, ‘Home’ and its companion lyric video.

The musical arrangement is a flowing, piano-centered composition. It is accompanied by an equally gentle string arrangement and rich vocal delivery by band members Chris Watt and Tim Yunker.

Watt discussed the song’s music arrangement during a recent interview.

‘Father O’ Father’ is the latest single from Fire Follows and showcases a completely different side of the band,” he said. “A stripped-down “piano version”, it lends itself to Chris and Tim’s vocal intricacies that have refined over many years of working together. The track also features a beautiful string composition that helps bring a tremendously compelling dynamic range to an otherwise unplugged version.”

Additionally, Watt addressed the lyrical theme featured with the song’s musical arrangement.

“The track can be thought of as a prayer of desperation…a sort of cry-out in a moment of utter desperation,” said Watt. “The band hopes that the lyrical message deeply resonates with their current fanbase and that the song as a whole brings in an entirely new audience.”

Fire Follows Debuts New Single, ‘Home,’ Companion Video

Courtesy: TLG Entertainment

Independent hard rock band Fire Follows debuted its latest single and video over the weekend.

The band premiered its new single, ‘Home’ and its companion lyric video Friday. The song’s musical arrangement is a heavy, melodic hard rock composition. At points, it lends itself to comparison to works from Sevendust. At others, the rapping gives the song a more nu-metal style sound and approach. The combination of those two elements makes the composition an interesting presentation in whole.

The lyrical content featured alongside the song’s musical arrangement comes across as addressing the familiar topic of a person’s inner struggles. At the same time, it also seems to hint at another’s mental abuse being the cause of the subject’s struggles. This is a familiar theme across the musical universe.

The lyric video for the band’s new single presents the band performing its new single in a warehouse setting. Additionally, there is footage of a burning building, what looks like a barn, and a river. Meanwhile the song’s lyrics are presented in a unique font, allowing audiences to follow along as they take in the video and song.

‘Home’ is just the latest single from Fire Follows. The band most recently debuted its single, ‘Cant Get You Out Of My Head‘ in April along with its lyric video. Their premiere was preceded by that of the band’s debut single, ‘Glass Grenade‘ and its video.

Fire Follows Debuts New Single, ‘Glass Grenade,’ Companion Video

Independent hard rock band Fire Follows debuted the video for its latest single over the weekend along with the song’s companion video.

The band debuted its new single ‘Glass Grenade‘ Friday through Ghost Cult Magazine along with its companion video. Its debut comes less than four months after the band debuted its then latest single, ‘Black and White’ and its video. Both songs are featured in the band’s EP Glass Grenade.

‘Glass Grenade’ presents a musical arrangement that immediately lends itself to comparisons to works from the likes of Linkin Park and Papa Roach. That is evidenced through the back and forth of the clean vocals and screams and the very specific approach to the song’s guitar line.

The lyrical content that accompanies the song’s musical arrangement focuses on the impact that actions and words can have on a relationship. The band addressed that message in a prepared statement.

“The metaphor portrays an individual who has created tremendous suffering and strife inside of an intimate relationship, and the vulnerability the other party is often forced to endure,” the statement reads. “The “Glass Grenade” represents a fragile heart that is on the verge of breaking, and the catastrophic damage that can be done if it does…. an insightful message wrapped in a powerful instrumental makes this one of the strongest tracks Fire Follows has ever released.”‘

The video for ‘Glass Grenade’ features the band performing its new single in an empty warehouse. The visual is meant to reflect the band on stage. The emptiness (intentionally or not) reflects the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on live music.

Fire Follows Debuts ‘Black And White’ Video

Independent hard rock band Fire Follows debuted the video for its latest single this week.

The band debuted the video for its single ‘Black and White‘ Friday. The song is featured in the trio’s forthcoming sophomore EP Glass Grenade, which is scheduled for release in early 2021.

The video for the band’s new single places the group in a studio setting as it performs its new song. The musical arrangement that the band performs is a melodic hard rock style approach that also ties in the slightest tinge of nu-metal. Its companion lyrical content will appeal to a wide range of listeners, too.

Fire Follows’ new EP will come two years after the release of its debut EP If It’s War You Want.
