Listen up Sooner Nation. ESPN is coming to town this weekend.
ESPN’s College GameDay Built by The Home Depot will come live from the campus of Oklahoma this Saturday morning. The broadcast, which runs from 9am ET to 12pm ET, is in advance of the Sooners’ annual “Bedlam” game against in-state rival Oklahoma State University. The Big 12 opponents will be the featured game of the week on Saturday Night Football on ABC presented by Wells Fargo. Oklahoma (10 – 1) is ranked at #3 in the college football playoff standings, having moved up four spots from last week’s rankings. Oklahoma State (10 – 1) fell six spots this week to #10 in the rankings.
Saturday’s live broadcast will mark the fifth time that College GameDay Built by The Home Depot has come live from Oklahoma’s campus. Rece Davis will anchor the broadcast. He will be joined at the desk by ESPN college football analysts Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, and David Pollack as well as contributors Samantha Ponder, Tom Rinaldi, George Whitfield, and Gene Wojciechowski. On a related note, Desmond Howard will be off this weekend. That is because he will be in Ann Arbor, Michigan as his #21 jersey will be retired ahead of the Wolverines’ rivalry game against The Ohio State University. Howard will have live segments from Michigan throughout Saturday’s broadcast of College GameDay Built by The Home Depot.
Kirk Herbstreit will have the call for Saturday night’s game between the Sooners and Cowboys. He will be joined in the booth by Chris Fowler. Reporter Heather Cox will also be on hand for additional commentary and news throughout the game.
