Independent rock band Hindsight premiered its new single and its companion lyric video over the weekend.

The band debuted the lyric video for its single, ‘Transform’ Friday. The song is available to stream and download through Spotify, Apple Music, and the band’s official Bandcamp page. The single’s premiere comes more than four months after the debut of the lyric video for its then latest single, ‘Rhythm of Fate.’

The lyric video is a simple presentation. It features the song’s lyrics over a background of what looks like a mix of electronic related images and DNA.

The musical arrangement featured in ‘Transform’ is much heavier and more intense than that featured in ‘Rhythm of Fate.’ Where the earlier single was more mainstream friendly, this song boasts more of an industrial metal vibe. It is more of a metalcore style composition.

The band talked about the song’s musical arrangement in a prepared statement.

“We wanted to push ourselves out of our comfort zone on this one and let the song really drive us where it wanted to go,” the statement reads. “While not always the case, we decided to approach this with the mindset that nothing was off of the table in terms of tones, sound choices, arrangement, and instrumentation. This song was for sure one of the more progressive tunes that we have written to this point but still contains some of the chorus driven writing that we tend to gravitate towards.”

According to information provided in the press release announcing the lyric video’s debut, the song’s lyrical theme focuses on a familiar topic. That topic is that of the pros and cons of the rise of digital technology.

‘Transform’ is the fifth single from Hindsight’s forthcoming EP, Catalyst. It and the EP’s other singles are all available to stream and download through the noted digital outlets.

Hindsight Takes On Fake Friends In New Single, Lyric Video

Independent rock band Hindsight unveiled its latest single last week, along with its companion video.

The band debuted its new single, ‘Rhythm of Fate’ March 26, along with its companion lyric video. The single is available to stream and download through Spotify, Bandcamp, Apple Music, and Amazon. The debut of the song and its video follows that of the band’s then latest single, ‘Where We Found Hope’ and its video last year. Both songs are featured in the band’s forthcoming EP, Catalyst.

The musical arrangement featured in ‘Rhythm of Fate’ is a melodic hard rock style composition that fits well into any active rock radio programmer’s play list. Immediate comparisons can be made here, to works from the likes of Three Days Grace, The Veer Union, and Sevendust.

The lyrical theme that accompanies the song’s musical arrangement deals with a concept which will resonate with many listeners, according to information provided about the single.

According to that information, “The song involves dealing with the bitterness of those who are unable to deal with the success of others around them who they claim to care about while at the same time not coming to terms with their own fears that have prevented them from succeeding themselves. In general, the band feels that this is a common occurrence in many areas of society but in particular, it is one that plagues music and the arts in general.”

The lyric video for Hindsight’s new single features the song’s lyrics presented next to the artwork for Catalyst while the song plays over the whole.

Hindsight Debuts ‘Where We Found Hope’ Video

Independent rock band Hindsight will release its latest studio recording, Catalyst this summer.

In anticipation of the record’s release, the band premiered the video for the EP’s lead single, ‘Where We Found Hope’ Monday through v13.net. The song’s musical arrangement presents a mix of alt-rock and emo while its lyrical content will reach an even wider range of listeners than fans of the noted genres, with its optimistic commentary.

The band said in a collective statement of the lyrical content, “This song is dedicated to the healing power of music for those who sometimes receive the right message at the right time that helps them overcome some form of struggle in their lives.  It also represents a call to all musicians that no matter how discouraged the world around us may make us feel about our desire to make music, the internal drive to do so can often be something positive for others listening (including ourselves).”

In talking about the video treatment, the band had the following to say:

“With this video, we also suggest that musical expression is something musicians should continuously pursue no matter what entities regulate how the general public consumes media and/or art.  With regards to the video, this first release will represent the first segment of a connected five-part story with each song representing a new chapter in the central characters’ lives while also tying in the message of each song.”

‘Where We Found Hope’ is available at a “pay what you can” price for a limited time at the band’s official bandcamp page.  The song is also available to stream and download through Spotify and Apple Music.
