Anthrax fans have a new way to celebrate their favorite band.
The band has partnered with watch Nezumi Studios to create the limited edition “Persistance of Time” watch. The watch is limited to a quantity of only 50. It celebrates the 30th anniversary of the release of the band’s 1990 album by the same name.
Each limited edition watch, made 100 percent by Nezumi Studios, is individually numbered and features a DLC satin black coated case, a Japanese mechanical movement, Swiss luminova on the dial and hands, and premium vegetable-tanned leather strap. Orders for the watch are open.
Nesumi Studios founder David Campo talked about the partnership in a recent interview.
“I got to know Charlie through David Ellefson of Megadeth, and the stars aligned. Charlie asked if I would want to design a watch for the Persistence of Time 30th anniversary,” he said. “I thought that album’s title and hit song ‘Got The Time’ made the limited edition watch a perfect fit, and, being a fan since the late 80s, it’s been an honor to take part in this.”
Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante expanded on Campo’s comments.
“We connected with NEZUMI and David Campo through our mutual friend David Ellefson (Megadeth),” said Benante. “David sent us photos of watches he had made and they were all just beautiful, we were blown away. I sent him the album’s cover artwork, but as there’s only so much you can fit on the face of a watch, he came up with a tremendous design. These watches are awesome, we all love them, and think our fans will really love them as well.”
Front man Joey Belladonna also shared his thoughts on the new watch line.
“With the ‘Persistence of Time’ album being focused on the concept of ‘time,’ partnering up with NEZUMI to produce this watch was a great idea,” said Belladonna. “The watch is beautiful, and would make a great holiday gift for someone special, and I know I’m looking forward to getting mine.”

The debut of Anthrax’s new limited edition watch brand comes a month after the band launched its new limited edition whiskey lines, “Evil Twin I” and “Evil Twin II.” Both of Anthrax’s new drinks were produced by Hillrock Estate Distillery. The distillery is located in the Hudson Valley Highlands in New York state.
