ESPN Announces Early Details For 2021 MLB Broadcast Schedule

Baseball is officially coming back!

ESPN announced Wednesday, it will start airing Major League Baseball’s spring training games beginning March 2. The schedule opens with the matchup of last year’s World Series runner up, Tampa Bay taking on Boston at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Coverage continues through the week with the Mariners and Cubs facing off March 3; Washington and the Mets on March 4, and the World Series Champion Los Angeles Dodgers taking on the Kansas City Royals on March 5. All four games will simulcast on TV on ESPN and online through the ESPN App. ESPN Deportes will carry a Spanish language broadcast of the Dodgers/Royals game March 5.

In related news, ESPN’s MLB 2021 regular season coverage starts on Opening Night, April 1. The Nationals and Mets will go under the lights live on ESPN at 7 p.m. ET for the game.

ESPN’s season-opening edition of Sunday Night Baseball presented by Taco Bell is scheduled to air at 8:30 p.m. ET, April 4 on ESPN. The Los Angeles Angels Angels and Chicago White Sox will face off in this year’s season premiere.
