ESPN Announces Broadcast Teams For 2015 NFL Draft

The clock is ticking. And very soon, NFL teams and fans around the country will get their first glimpse at what their favorite team may look like come Septmber when ESPN and the NFL broadcast the annual NFL Draft.

The NFL Draft will air April 30th – May 2nd on ESPN live from the Auditorium Theater of Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. in primetime with limited commercial interruption. While it is not known who will go to which team later this month, it is now known who will be handling hosting duties for this year’s draft. Chris Berman will host Round 1, marking his 35th year covering the annual selection show. He will be joined by Mel Kiper, Jr., who will be making his 32nd appearance at the draft. ESPN Monday Night Football analyst and Super Bowl champion coach Jon Gruden, Super Bowl champion and ESPN analyst Ray Lewis, and NFL Insiders Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter. Mortensen and Schefter will join Berman, Gruden, Lewis and Kiper at a second desk insie the theatre. Reporter Suzy Kolber will have interviews on the gold carpet and in the green room.

Rounds two and three of this year’s NFL Draft will be hosted by Trey Wingo. He will be joined by Super Bowl Champion quarterback Trent Dilfer and NFL Draft analysts Mel Kiper, Jr. and Todd McShay. Chris Mortensen, Adam Schefter, and Suzy Kolber will each contribute to the broadcast of Round two and three as well.

Trey Wingo will return on Saturday, May 2nd to host Rounds Four through Seven of this year’s NFL Draft. He will be joined once again by Mel Kiper, Jr., and Todd McShay. Six-time NFL Executive of the year and NFL Hall of Fame inductee Bill Polian will also contribut to Saturday’s broadcast along with Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter.

Along with its main broadcast teams, ESPN will also have bureau reporters assigne to a number of NFL team sites and two of the top NFL Draft prospects. That list of reporters is noted below:

ESPN will offer additional coverage of the 2015 NFL Draft across multiple platforms and editions of NFL Insiders, NFL Live, and SportsCenter. Each program will broadcast from Chicago beginning April 30th. The full broadcast schedule for the 2015 NFL Draft is noted below. All times are EST.

ESPN Releases 2014 NFL Draft Broadcast Schedule

Officials with ESPN have announced the full schedule for its networks’ coverage of this year’s NFL Draft.

Coverage of the 2014 NFL Draft begins next Thursday, May 8th on ESPN at 8pm ET. The broadcast will come live from New York’s Radio City Music Hall and will be simulcast on ESPN Radio beginning at 7pm ET. ESPN Radio’s broadcast of the NFL Draft will be anchored by Dari Nowkhah. Nowkhah will be joined by ESPN analysts Louis Riddick, Mark Schlereth, and ESPN.com senior NFL writer John Clayton. Freddie Coleman will host a post-first round broadcast beginning at 11:30pm ET. He will be joined by ESPN Insider Adam Caplan. Nowkhah and company will be back on the air the next morning, May 9th. The post-show broadcast that evening will come live at 11pm. It will be hosted by Kevin Winter. Winter will be joined by Adam Caplan for the broadcast. ESPN Radio’s draft coverage will also be available online at ESPNRadio.com.

ESPN will carry coverage of Round 1 live with limited commercial interruption in the broadcast’s first hour for the third straight year this year. Baltimore Ravens great and NFL veteran Ray Lewis will join NFL Draft host Chris Berman as part of ESPN’s NFL Draft commentator team for the first round of the draft. Berman, who is now in his thirty-fourth year of covering the NFL Draft, will also be joined by ESPN NFL analysts Jon Gruden and Mel Kiper, Jr. Kiper is himself in his thirty-first year of covering the draft’s first round. Suzy Kolber will be on the floor, bringing viewers live interviews with draftees throughout Round 1 while NFL Insiders Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter will have reports from an additional set.

Trey Wingo will anchor the second through seventh round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Rounds two through seven will be carried on television on ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU. He will be joined by ESPN NFL analysts Trent Dilfer, Mel Kiper, Jr., and Todd McShay as well as NFL Insiders Chris Mortensen, and Adam Schefter and ESPN Front Office Insider Bill Polian.

As an added bonus for viewers, ESPN will have a number of reporters imbedded with various teams throughout the networks’ coverage of the draft. Ed Werder will have live reports from the Houston Texans’ camp while Josina Anderson and Britt McHenry will have reports from the Rams and Jaguars respectively. Sal Paolantonio will be embedded with the Browns and Michele Steele with the Buccaneers. Bob Holtzman will have all the latest from the Minnesota Vikings camp.

ESPN Releases 2013 NFL Draft Coverage Details

It’s that time of year again.  Universities across the country are showing off their teams’ talents for the upcoming season of college football later in the year with Spring games.  Just as the new crop of college players are on display, the next crop of future NFL stars is preparing to make a splash at the annual NFL Draft.  The draft kicks off Thursday, April 25th and runs through Saturday, April 27th.  And ESPN will be on hand for all the coverage of this year’s draft.  The first two nights of the draft will air in primetime.  And for the second consecutive year, Round One’s first hour of coverage will air with limited commercial interruption.

Chris Berman will be on hand for the 2013 NFL Draft presented by Bud Light.  This year marks the thirty-third year of coverage for Berman.  He will host ESPN’s draft coverage live from New York City’s Radio City Music Hall.  He will be joined by analyst Mel Kiper, Jr. and Monday Night Football analyst and Superbowl-winning coach Jon Gruden on set.  This year’s draft marks the thirtieth year of covering the draft for Mel Kiper, Jr.  Senior NFL Insider Chris Mortensen and NFL Insider Adam Schefter will be on hand at another set live at Radio City Music Hall.  And NFL32 host Suzy Kolber will be on hand providing interviews with draft prospects.

Trey Wingo takes over as main his on Day 2 & 3 of the NFL Draft.  He will be joined by Trent Dilfer, Mel Kiper, Jr., and ESPN Scouts, Inc. director of scouting Todd McShay.  Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen will also both be back.  They will be joined by Six-time NFL Executive of the Year Bill Polian.  Suzy Kolber will be back broadcasting live on Saturday from Bristol, Connecticut, hosting ten hours of coverage. She will be joined by analysts Tedy Bruschi, Herm Edwards, and Ron Jaworski.  It all begins Saturday, April 26th with SportsCenter Special: On The Clock at 10am/9am CT.

ESPN will have reporters and correspondents coming to audiences live from team sites and more throughout the weekend, including on the radio on ESPN Radio affiliates across the country.  Josina Anderson will report live from the St. Louis Rams’ team site.  Colleen Dominguez will have reports from the San Francisco 49ers team site.  Sal Paolantonio will be on hand in Philadelphia with reports from the Eagles.  And Ed Werder will be live from Kansas City with reports on the latest from the Chiefs.

Mike Hill and three-time Superbowl Champion Mark Schlereth—co-hosts of ESPN’s Hill and Schlereth—will host ESPN Radio’s NFL Draft 2013 presented by Bud Light on Thursday and Friday, April 25th and 26th.  ESPN.com Senior NFL writer John Clayton will join Hill and Schlereth for their broadcast.  ESPN Radio’s coverage begins Thursday, April 25th at 7pm and Friday, April 26th at 6pm. 

Leading up to this year’s NFL Draft, ESPN will air SportsCenter Special: On The Clock shows, hosted by a number of ESPN’s top studio analysts.  Among those analysts joining fans for this year’s SportsCenter Special: On The Clock will be: Cris Carter, Trent Dilfer, Tom Jackson, Ron Jaworski, Keyshawn Johnson, Bill Polian, and Steve Young from Bristol.  Trey Wingo will host SportsCenter Special: On The Clock on Thursday, April 25th at 5pm.  Wendi Nix will host the special on Friday, April 26th.  And Suzy Kolber will have hosting duties on Saturday, April 27th.
