Blacktop Mojo Debuts ‘Signal’s Gone’ Video

Blacktop Mojo is encouraging listeners to have the difficult conversations that they would rather not have with its latest single and video.

The band debuted the video for its latest single ‘Signal’s Gone’ Sept. 8.  The song is the latest single from the band’s 2020 EP Static.

The video finds front man Matt James watching images of himself and his romantic interest (wife?/girlfriend?) in Las Vegas, recalling the happy memories with the woman.  As the videos play on a TV that he is watching in the middle of the desert, it becomes clear that he is having some inner struggles.

Those struggles were explained by James in a recent interview.

“All too often today, people have the option of not having the hard conversations with the people in their lives because we no longer have to do it face to face. It is much easier to “ghost” someone, and let a relationship fade in time with no real closure than it is to look that person in the eye and say, ‘This isn’t working.'”

The song’s musical  arrangement is everything that audiences have come to expect from Blacktop Mojo.  The guitar-driven composition features a subdued bluesy, country/southern rock style sound.
