ESPN College GameDay Built by The Home Depot will broadcast live Saturday from the campus of the University of Miami.
The network’s flagship college football program is scheduled to air from 9 a.m. to noon ET live from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL. It will simulcast on ESPNU.
Rece Davis will anchor the broadcast. Desmond Howard, David Pollack, and Chris “The Bear” Fallica will provide additional commentary. Kirk Herbstreit and lee Corso will join the broadcast from their homes due to COVID-19 regulations.
The No. 12-ranked Hurricanes will host their Atlantic Coast Conference foes, the Florida State Seminoles on ABC’s weekly Saturday Night Football presented by Capital One broadcast. Chris Fowler will have the call for the game while Herbstreit will provide additional commentary. Reporter Molly McGrath will have all of the game’s key headlines.
Miami comes into Saturday night’s matchup on the heels of a 13-point win (47-34) over Louisville on Sept. 19 and a 17-point win (31-14) over the University of Alabama at Birmingham Sept. 10 in its season opener.
The Hurricanes outperformed the Blazers in almost every category in the teams’ Sept. 10 meeting, from first downs to average gain per play, to total yardage. On the other hand, the Blazers recorded 205 passing yards in the game versus Miami’s total of 155 passing yards.
Louisville gave Miami a harder fight than UAB, performing almost as well as the Hurricanes from the first quarter to the last. The Cardinals outdid the Hurricanes in Net Rushing Yards, 209-160, but Miami’s Net Passing Yards total of 325 just barely beat Louisville’s total of 307.
In the battle of the QBs, Louisville went 16-36 in completions, outdoing Miami there, too, 18-30. The Hurricanes also saw more impact in the penalties category than Louisville, racking up 11 penalties for a total of 89 yards. Louisville, on the other hand, had seven penalties for a total of 70 yards.
Miami’s Third-Down efficiency rate of 6-13 outdid Louisville’s 4-14. At the same time, Louisville was 3-4 in Fourth-Down efficiency. Louisville also outdid Miami in total yardage, 516-485.
Florida State comes into Saturday night’s game hoping to rebound from a Week 1 loss to Georgia Tech. The Seminoles lost the game 16-13.
Florida State struck early in the game, putting up 10 points in the first quarter, but the Yellow Jackets kept the Seminoles scoreless in the second and to only a field goal in the third quarter. Georgia State meanwhile put up 16 points between the third and fourth quarters.
Georgia State outplayed Florida State through most of the team’s Sept. 12 game. The Yellowjackets racked up a total of 438 yards versus Florida State’s 307 yards. Georgia State totaled more passing yards than Florida State (277-198) and more rushing yards (161-109). Even the two interceptions thrown by GT quarterback Jeff Simms weren’t enough to stop the Yellowjackets.
On the positive side for Florida State, Georgia State incurred more penalties and lost more yardage than Florida State throughout the game. The Seminoles were charged with eight penalties for 55 yards while the Yellowjackets had a total of 10 penalties for a loss of 80 yards.
COLLEGE FOOTBALL PRIMETIME ON ESPN
Saturday night’s ACC matchup between the Hurricanes and Seminoles is just one of the games scheduled to air Saturday night. Southeastern Conference foes No. 2 Alabama and unranked Missouri open the night at 7 p.m. ET on College Football Primetime on ESPN. The game is ESPN’s College Football Primetime Samsung QLED 4K Game of the Week.
Sean McDonough will have the call for Saturday night’s SEC showdown. Todd Blackledge, Todd McShay, and Allison Williams will provide additional commentary and reports.
With this week being the SEC’s official return to play, each team comes into Saturday’s game looking to start the season with a win.

ESPN wraps up its 2016 season of College GameDay Covered by State Farm this weekend. And the season finale will come from the site of one of the week’s most anticipated college basketball matchups.
ESPN ends another season of College GameDay Covered by State Farm this weekend. This weekend’s season-ending edition of its flagship college basketball program will come live from Cameron Indoor Stadium on the campus of Duke University. The broadcast, scheduled for an 11am ET air time, will preview the season’s second “Battle of the Blues.” That is the season’s second showdown between Duke and UNC. In the teams’ first meeting this season Duke came from behind late in the game to beat UNC by a single point 74 – 73. Rece Davis will anchor Saturday’s broadcast of College GameDay Covered by State Farm. He will be joined by analysts Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg, and Jay Williams. This weekend’s edition of College GameDay Covered by State Farm will be the sixth time that GameDay will have ended its season at Duke. And for the 11th time overall UNC will be the road team. It will make the third time this season overall that UNC will make a visitor appearance from the site of a GameDay broadcast. The team’s previous two appearances were February 6th at Notre Dame and February 20th at Virginia. It is also the eighth time overall that GameDay has come from the site of a Duke-UNC rivalry game.
This week’s edition of Saturday Primetime Presented by DIRECTV is scheduled for a 6:30pm start time on ESPN. Dan Shulman will have the call for Saturday’s showdown. He will be joined by Jay Bilas for additional commentary. Reporter Shannon Spake will be courtside for all of the game’s latest headlines, interviews and news.
