Zakk Wylde Unveils ‘Lost Prayer’ Video

Zakk Wylde debuted the video for his latest single this week.

Wylde unveiled the video for the song ‘Lost Prayer’ this week. The song is the latest single to be released from Wylde’s latest album Book of Shadows II.  The album was released April 8, 2016.

The video is streaming online now here.  It combines footage of Wylde performing the song in a dimly lit studio and actors playing out certain parts to illustrate the song’s message of overcoming difficult situations in life. The end result is another song that, as Wylde has said before, proves a song can be heavy without having heavy, crunching guitars and pounding drums.

Wylde’s new video is just some of his latest news.  He will hit the road with the Black Sabbath tribute band Zakk Sabbath this coming week for a series of shows in southern California.  Those shows include performances at the NAMM party at The Grove of Anaheim on Jan. 21.

Zakk Sabbath has also been confirmed for performances at a handful of summer concert festivals.  Those festivals include MMR-B-Q, Rocklahoma and the recently sold out Rock on the Range.

Zakk Sabbath is made up of bassist Blasko (Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie) drummer Joey Castillo (Danzig, Queens of the Stone Age) and Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne, Black Label Society).

Along with his performances with Zakk Sabbath, Wylde has also been tapped to perform on the 2017 Experience Hendrix tour alongside Billy Cox, Buddy Guy, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and many other famed artists from across the musical universe.  This year marks the third consecutive year that Wylde has been invited to be part of the Experience Hendrix Tour.

But at the same time, our festivals are about highlighting the strengths (or sometimes the needs) of our host city. There’s no more important way to do that right now than to support Mayor Turner’s efforts to help Houston recover from this spring’s flooding and we will be incorporating this message throughout our launch campaign.”

Danny Wimmer is the founder of Danny Wimmer Presents.  He shared his thoughts on the logistics of the concert’s location, its lineup, and more in his discussion with the press.  “Houston is one of the country’s biggest rock markets and, when combined with the impressive food scene happening here, it’s a natural location for a DWP festival,” he said.  “We’re thrilled to have such a diverse first-year lineup that includes Avenged Sevenfold, Alice In Chains and Chevelle. With the inclusion of an incredible food experience and the Jack Daniel’s Whiskey Row, we are kicking off a powerhouse experience that will live in the market for many years to come!”

The Houston Open Air Festival’s band lineup is just part of what audiences have to look forward to this year.  There will also be a special food and drink experience for fans who attend.  This includes the Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Whiskey Row and a massive Gourmet Man Food Experience  The brands featured in the Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Whiskey Row include: Jack Daniel’s Black Label, Gentleman Jack, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire, Old Forester, and Woodford Reserve.  The complete lineup and menus for the Gourmet Man Food experience will be announced soon.

Houston Open Air is produced by Danny Wimmer Presents, producer of: Louder Than Life, Chicago Open Air, Monster Energy Welcome To Rockville, Monster Energy Fort Rock, Monster Energy Aftershock, Monster Energy Carolina Rebellion, Northern Invasion, Monster Energy Rock Allegiance, Rock on the Range, and more.  It is sponsored by: Monster Energy, Jack Daniel’s, El Jimador, Fxck Cancer’s Dyin2Live, NRG Park, and SoHo Concessions, and more to be announced soon.

NRG Park is the home of the NFL’s Houston Texans and the annual Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.  It is located at One NRG Park in Houston, TX.

He expressed the band’s excitement in being invited to headline the show and what it means to play along with some of 5FDP’s favorite bands, and for its fans in Florida.  “5FDP is incredibly excited to be part of the kickoff of the World’s Loudest Month,” he said.  “Having already ‘rocked’ Rockville, this will be our first time bringing it to Fort Myers. We are blessed to have so many fans in Florida that made it possible for the band to step up as a festival headliner standing beside giants like Korn and Rob Zombie! Thank you, Florida. See you all soon!”  Festival co-producer Clay Bush of Danny Wimmer Presents shared the excitement of all of the bands in speaking about the festival celebrating its second year.  “After a great first year, we couldn’t be more excited to return to JetBlue Park with an amazing band lineup and fantastic partners,” Bush said.

The 2013 edition of the annual Rock on the Range festival was one of the biggest that organizers of the annual event have ever experienced.  2013 saw the annual event completely sell out.  Seeing the success that the festival had in 2013, festival organizers have announced that the festival will now expand to three full days this year. The festival, which will run from May 16th – May 18th this year, will be headlined by three very big name acts.  Those acts are Guns N’ Roses, Avenged Sevenfold, and Kid Rock.

While the trio of aforementioned bands will headline the once again expanded festival (last year saw the festival expand to three nights) are big names in themselves, they won’t be the only bands to perform at this year’s show.  Also scheduled to perform this year are: Seether, Five Finger Death Punch, Slayer, Staind, Motorhead, Chevelle, Alter Bridge, Mastodon, Black Label Society and Killswitch Engage among many others.  The complete lineup of bands scheduled to perform at this year’s ROTR Festival is listed below.
