It’s Not Dead Festival Comes To Life This Fall

Punk rock is alive and well!

That is the message being sent by “It’s Not Dead Festival” co-founders Kevin Lyman, Jon Reese and Live Nation’s Rich Best. Thanks to the trio’s combined efforts, the aptly-titled festival will become reality, proving the spirit of punk and the music itself is alive and well. The “It’s Not Dead Festival” will be held Saturday, October 10th at the San Manuel Amphitheater Festival Grounds in San Bernadino, CA. The festival will feature performances from a total of thirty-five bands across three stages representing the past, present, and future of punk and ska. Those bands include: Bad Religion, Pennywise, Descendents, NOFX, The Vandals, 7 Seconds, The Vandals, Bouncing Souls, Anti-Flag, Strung Out, Fishbone, H20, Lagwagon, Goldfinger, Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake and many more. The festival’s complete lineup is listed below.

Tickets for the “It’s Not Dead Festival” will be available beginning this afternoon at 1pm ET on the festival’s official website at http://www.itsnotdeadfestival.com/. Early bird tickets start at $25 and go up in price from there. Regular on-sale price for tickets is $42.50. Service fees and parking are not included in ticket prices. Kids 10 and under get in free. On-site overnight parking will be available for those that get there early in anticipation of the big day.

While the bands tapped to play this year’s festival are the main attraction, they are just part of what audiences can look forward to this year. There will also be an old-school skate/BMX jam presented by Vans featuring appearances from skateboarding legends such as: Mike Frazier, Steve Caballero, Christian Hosoi, Omar Hassan, and Neal Hendrix along with pros Lizzie Armanto, Alex Perelson, and Josh Bordon. BMX rider Dennis McCoy will also be on hand for the event.

For those looking for something calmer, there will also be an art exhibition titled “Art’s Not Dead” and a book-signing area. The art exhibition will feature works from artists and photographers such as Mark deSalvo, Dave Naz, Natalia Fabia, Lisa Johnson, B.J. Papas, Greg Attonito, Chris Shary, Craig “Skibs” Barker, Jeff Alulis, Jason Cardwell and many others.  Their works will both be on exhibition and for sale. The book-signing area will feature books from well-known authors such as Jeff Alulis, Danny Bland, Cecil Castellucci, Jack Grisham, Shawna Kenney, Jim Lindberg, David Nazworthy, Christian Picciolini, John Roecker with Dylan Melody, Daniel Weizmann and Shanti Wintergate & Greg Attonito.

Taste of Chaos Festival Returns This Fall

The Taste of Chaos Festival is back!

After a long five-year wait, the Taste of Chaos Festival will return this year. The day-long festival will be held Saturday, October 3rd at the San Manuel Amphitheater Festival Grounds in San Bernadino, California. This year’s festival will be a very special one for anyone that was a fan of the alternative/indie scene in the 90s and early 2000s because it pays tribute to that scene with a lineup of bands that once made up that scene. They are the same bands that have since gone on to become some of the biggest names in the industry. Those bands include: Jimmy Eat World, The Used, Dashboard Confessional, Thrice, The All-American Rejects, Saves The Day, Glassjaw, The Movielife, Story of the Year, and Finch. Mark Hoppus will perform his own special DJ set at this year’s festival. Greek Fire and Adair will also be on hand for this year’s festival.

The bands tapped for this year’s festival make up just part of its enjoyment. There will also be carnival rides, games, food trucks, and a craft beer and concession area. Those that might be coming from a long distance to see this year’s festival will be glad to know that organizers have also established an on-sight overnight camping area. That means fans can get there the day before and rest up overnight for the big day. All tickets for this year’s festival are general admission. They will go on sale beginning this coming Monday, June 22nd at TasteofChaos.com. Early bird tickets start at $  will go up in price from there. Regular on-sale ticket price is $42.50 per ticket. Ticket prices do not include service fee or parking. A very small number of VIP packages will be available with the cheapest going for $199.00. It includes fast lane entrance into the festival, VIP laminate with lanyard, VIP Lounge access along with complimentary beer and snacks while supplies last, full cash bar, and VIP restroom trailers. The second VIP package, runs for $299.00. It includes everything included in the $199.00 VIP package plus a commemorative The Used /Taste of Chaos laminate with lanyard a meet-and-greet/one-on-one photo shoot with the members of The Used, collector’s edition Taste of Chaos screen-printed poster for autographs, and a merch-pack from The Used that includes a t-shirt from the band.

The weather is turning cold and most of the world is counting down the days until the end of 2014. Meanwhile others such as the members of Miss May I are counting down the days until the start of the new year. That is because with the start of the new year comes the start of “The Frozen Flame Tour” presented by Rock Star Energy Drink.

Miss May I, touring in support of its latest full-length album Rise of the Lion (Rise Records), will join Northlane and Erra on “The Frozen Flame Tour” presented by Rock Star Energy Drink beginning Thursday, January 22nd. The tour is headlined by August Burns Red. The tour spans thirty-eight dates and takes the bands across the United States and into Canada, too. It wraps up with a seven-date stretch through the East Coast, with one date in North Carolina. That date is March 5th at Amos’ Southend in Charlotte, North Carolina. The concert is an all-ages show. Tickets are $22 in advance and $25 at the door. Audiences under the age of three are subject to a $3 surcharge. Doors open at 6:30 and the show is scheduled to begin at 7pm. Uproar Festival Organizers Release Early Details On Annual Tour

The Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival returns for its fourth year this Summer.  The annual festival is one of the last big Summer packages festival tours each year.  Last year’s tour boasted a total of nearly 300,000 people in attendance through its run.  This year’s tour looks to be just as successful if not more so.  It kicks off August 9th and runs through September 15th.  Tickets for most shows go on sale next Thursday, April 25th at noon local time.  Prices start at $10.25 and go as high as $89.75.  All tickets include extra fees.  More information on tickets for the annual tour is available online at http://www.RockstarUPROAR.com and http://www.LiveNation.com.  A full listing of tour dates is available below:
