The Black Moods Debuts New Single, ‘The Cure,’ Companion Video; Announces New Live Dates

Rock band The Black Moods premiered its latest single and video this week.

The band debuted its new single, ‘The Cure’ and its companion video Thursday. The song is the latest single from the band’s forthcoming record, Into The Night. The record also features the songs, ‘Saturday Night,’ ‘She Gets Out,’ and ‘Hollywood.’

The musical arrangement featured in ‘The Cure’ is a blues-infused rock composition. It is a contemplative work at the same time. The rich sound from the bass and drums pair with the noted bluesy guitar riff to make for plenty of engagement and entertainment. The vocals put the finishing touch to the presentation, too.

The lyrical theme featured in ‘The Cure’ clearly centers on a man’s feelings about a woman. Front man Josh Kennedy made that clear.

“It’s a love song about something being so good, but so bad for you at the same time,” Kennedy said. “She’s Bella Donna.”

The video for The Black Moods’ new single features the band performing its new single on a sound stage against a large white backdrop, their silhouettes fully visible against the backdrop. Blended into the video is a woman driving a car along an empty road. There is no resolution, so audiences are left to assume she is driving away from some unknown situation.

The brief tour is scheduled to launch May 25 in Council Bluffs, IA and to run through July 23 in Wisconsin Dells, WI. The Black Moods Debuts ‘Saturday Night’ Video; Announce New Album, Live Information

Courtesy: SRO PR

The Black Moods debuted the video for its latest single this week.

The band premiered its new single, ‘Saturday Night’ and its companion video Friday. The song is featured in the band’s forthcoming album, Into The Night, which is scheduled for release June 3. The debut of the new single and video follows that of the band’s then latest single ‘She Gets Out‘ and its companion video in late November. Both singles are featured in the band’s new album.

The musical arrangement featured in ‘Saturday Night’ is very similar in its stylistic approach and sound to that of ‘She Gets Out.’ It has that familiar neo-classic guitar rock sound and stylistic approach. The also familiar gritty, garage rock feel is just as present in this case. It is a sound and style that will appeal widely among audiences.

Front man Josh Kennedy talked about the song’s musical arrangement and lyrical theme in a prepared statement.

“‘Saturday Night’ came out of one of our late-night jams,” Kennedy said. “The groove had such a push to it, it felt like a Saturday night to us. Once we got in the studio with Johnny K. everything really fell into place and came together lyrically. Everyone usually looks forward to Saturday night, don’t they?”

The video for ‘Saturday Night’ goes along with the song’s musical and lyrical theme. It features the band on stage while Kelly plays the part of a man dreaming about having quite the fun time at a bar, seemingly on a Saturday night.

In other news, The Black Moods has announced it is scheduled to perform live March 31 at in Las Vegas, NV with Kyng and Royal Bliss. Tickets are available here.

The Brotherhood Debuts New Single, ‘Till The Wheels Fall Off,’ Companion Video

Courtesy: The Label Group.INgrooves

Country rock outfit The Brotherhood premiered its debut single and video to kick off the weekend.

The band, which include Saving Abel’s Scott Wilson on guitar, bass, and vocals, debuted its new single, ‘Till The Wheels Fall Off’ Friday, along with the song’s video. The country rock composition also features guest appearances from Neal Middleton (Royal Bliss), Marshal Dutton (Hinder), Brian Bonds (Florida Georgia Line), Kent Slucher (Luke Bryan) and Steve Hinson. Even with so many modern rock and country names taking part in the song, the overall arrangement throws back to the country rock songs that were so popular during the late 1980s and early-mid 90s.

The lyrical theme that accompanies the song’s musical arrangement is a straight forward presentation about life on the road. Even being such a familiar topic presented in a familiar fashion, it is still accessible, though that is largely due, again, to the song’s infectious musical arrangement.

The video for ‘Till The Wheels Fall Off’ is simple in its own presentation. It features the song’s lyrics over pictures of the band and its friends performing. The song’s arrangement plays over the visualization.
