Moore Discusses Sick Puppies Split In Recent Twitch Stream

Former Sick Puppies front man Shimon Moore went on record this month his departure from the band in 2014.

Moore posted a video on Sept. 1 in which he discusses his departure and the band’s breakup. The discussion was part of “The Hollywood Rebellion” Twitch livestream. According to Moore, his departure stemmed from an internal dispute between himself and his then band mates over the band’s management.

The 11-minute-plus video also finds Moore discussing the band’s breakup in depth, noting in part, “The way that the Sick Puppies break up went down left me pretty messed up in the head. So I just did my best NOT to speak about it from a place of negativity and risk hurting the legacy of the band for all our fans. If I’m being honest, it just took me a while to truly get there.”

“Even though I’ve recorded and released music since Sick Puppies, it wasn’t till 2020 that I really felt like I was comfortable in my new skin and the past was fully the past,” added Moore. “I think that’s partly due to time – but also because of how I’ve been able to connect and collaborate on songs with fans during “The Hollywood Rebellion” live streams on Twitch. I’m not sure if they realized it but the Rebellion has helped me a lot, and together we’ve created some awesome songs during this pandemic. AND we get a time capsule of music to remember that there’s still beauty in painful times. It’s not just my music now… It’s OUR MUSIC and it’s FREE for everyone who wants to come and hang out.”

Moore streams on his Twitch channel four days each week. He also hosts exclusive VIP concerts on Zoom each weekend.

Rock Into Spring Festival Adds New Sponsors, Bands

More new sponsors have been added to this spring’s upcoming Rock Into Spring festival presented by music products company Gangster.

Heineken and Findlay Chevrolet have signed on as the latest new additions to the festival’s already long list of sponsors. While Heineken will serve as a sponsor for the three-day pool party at the M Resort’s pool, Findlay Chevrolet will add even more interest to the festivities with a free car giveaway.

The Las Vegas-based dealership will give away a brand new car on April 30, the festival’s final day. The car will be given away during the event.

Heineken and Findlay Chevrolet are just two of the companies to recently sign on as sponsors for the event. Shakespeare Vodka, No Cover Magazine, Presidential Limousine, SB Craft Jerky and Fest Pop also signed on as sponsors of the weekend-long festival.

The festival’s list of sponsors isn’t the only list that recently grew in size. Two more bands were also recently added to the festival’s already extensive list of performers in the form of Buckcherry and Adelitas Way.

Already listed as performers on the festival’s bill are: Art of Anarchy, Sick Puppies, Trapt, DJ Lethal from Limp Bizkit, Alien Ant Farm, Eve To Adam, Bobaflex, 9Electric, Another Lost Year, Shallow Side, Blacklite District, VYCES, Behind The Fallen, Artifas, Lola Black, The Broken Thumbs, Quor, Silent Theory and many others.

Along with its extensive list of performers, Rock Into Spring will also feature 20 top tattoo artists to provide concert-goers with new ink. They include Ink Master’s Randy Vollink, James Francis, Cleen Rock One, King Rock, MTV’s Drama Diablo and others.

Rock Into Spring is presented by Gangster and hosted by Crank Up Live, Yourlisten.com, the Rocking Comedy Show and Radio Rock Vegas. The festival is a 21 and over event. Through Fire Announces New Live Dates

Through Fire has announced a new slate of live dates.

The up and coming hard rock act announced this week that it will join Sick Puppies on tour this fall beginning September 18^th in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The 11-date run is in support of the band’s latest release Breathe and will follow its upcoming tour with Nonpoint. That tour launches next Saturday, July 30^th in South Bend, Indiana and runs through August 10^th in Newport, Minnesota. Through Fire’s current tour schedule is noted below.

The lineup for the 2016 Houston Open Air Festival has officially been announced.

Organizers with the Houston Open Air Festival have revealed the lineup for the 2016 Houston Open Air Festival. The lineup will feature 35 bands over two days. That list includes: Deftones, Slayer,Chevelle, The Cult, Ministry, Alter Bridge, Ghost, Anthrax, Pierce The Veil, Of Mice & Men, Sevendust, Baroness, Hellyeah, Chevy Metal, Buckcherry, Nothing More, The Amity Affliction, Max & Iggor Cavalera: Return To Roots, Avatar, letlive., Jim Breuer and the Loud & Rowdy, Texas Hippie Coalition, Young Guns, Starset, Sick Puppies, Skindred, Neck Deep, Sons Of Texas, KYNG, Twelve Foot Ninja, Gemini Syndrome, The Word Alive, Dinosaur Pile Up, September Mourning, and more. Avenged Sevenfold and Alice in Chains have been named as the festival’s headliners.

There’s big concert news coming out of Pennsylvania today.

The Monster Energy Rock Allegiance Festival is returning to Pennsylvania this summer. It will take place Saturday, September 17^th and Sunday, September 18^th at Talen Energy Stadium (formerly PPL Park), home of Major League Soccer’s Philadelphia Union, in Chester, PA, which is just outside of Philadelphia. It will feature a lineup of more than 35 bands. Screaming At Demons, Homeless Rock Stars Team Up To Tackle Homelessness In America

A group of rockers is helping to raise awareness about homelessness in America thanks to a partnership with a well-known national organization.

Screaming at Demons—Shimon Moore (former Sick Puppies front man), Chris Clemence (bassist–Rap Scallions) and guitarist Russell Ali—has partnered with photographer and Homeless Rock Stars founder Nigle Skeet to craft a music video aimed at raising awareness about both Homeless Rock Stars and its mission, as well as America’s homelessness epidemic in whole. The organizers of the annual Welcome to Rockville festival have announced the complete schedule for this year’s festival, including performance times for each act on the bill.

Digital Summer and World Gone kick off this year’s festival. Digital Summer and World Gone are schedule to open the festival at 11:15am on the Monster Energy Fire Museum Stage and Jagermeister Stage respectively. Cathercist, winner of the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands, is up next at 11:45am ET on the Ernie Ball Stage. The Pre-Party is presented by X102.9 and Bud Light and will feature performances by Rev Theory and more. It will be held at 1904 Music Hall (19 N. Ocean Street in downtown Jacksonville, FL). Lacuna Coil Debuts First Single From Its New Album

Lacuna Coil has debuted the first single from its new album Broken Crown Halo. The band debuted ‘Nothing Stands In Our Way’ on SoundCloud today. The band explains the inspiration behind the song, saying that its lyrics stem from all the obstacles and difficulties people face each day. “Through everyday battles, against all odds, we stand united and don’t look back. We go on against crashing economies, heartbreaks and lifelong obstacles. We learn from our mistakes and nothing can stop us. We fear nothing and we are determined as musicians and as human beings,” the band explained.

Lacuna Coil is set to release Broken Crown Halo March 31^st in Europe, New Zealand, and Australia and Tuesday, April 1^st in North America through Century Media Records. Broken Crown Halo is the band’s seventh full length studio release. Details Announced For Second Annual Fort Rock Festival

Organizers of the Fort Rock Festival have announced the details for the annual hard rock music festival. This year’s festival is scheduled for Saturday, April 26^th. It will be held at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers, Florida. The list of this year’s performers includes: Seether, Theory of a Deadman, Black Stone Cherry, Sick Puppies, Trivium, Skindred, The Pretty Reckless, KYNG, Nothing More, Twelve Foot Ninja, and a bunch more. Veteran hard rock act Korn will share headlining duties at this year’s festival with Five Finger Death Punch.

When asked about performing at this year’s festival (its second) 5FDP drummer Jeremy Spencer spoke on behalf of the band. He expressed the band’s excitement in being invited to headline the show and what it means to play along with some of 5FDP’s favorite bands, and for its fans in Florida. “5FDP is incredibly excited to be part of the kickoff of the World’s Loudest Month,” he said. “Having already ‘rocked’ Rockville, this will be our first time bringing it to Fort Myers. We are blessed to have so many fans in Florida that made it possible for the band to step up as a festival headliner standing beside giants like Korn and Rob Zombie! Thank you, Florida. See you all soon!” Festival co-producer Clay Bush of Danny Wimmer Presents shared the excitement of all of the bands in speaking about the festival celebrating its second year. “After a great first year, we couldn’t be more excited to return to JetBlue Park with an amazing band lineup and fantastic partners,” Bush said.

Organizers are offering audiences a special limited time discounted ticket pre-sale from Tuesday, January 28^th – Thursday, January 30^th. During this short sale, a limited number of discounted general admission tickets will be available for purchase. Each day’s prices are listed below (plus fees). Regularly priced General Admission tickets will go on sale Friday, January 31^st at 10a.m.ET at http://www.FortRockFestival.com and via all Ticketmaster outlets. General Admission tickets start at $49.50 and VIP tickets start at $99.50 each. Prices increase February 10^th. Tickets can also be purchased at all Pita Pit locations for $50, with no service fees. A limited number of discounted General Admission tickets for the military will be available for just $29. They can be purchased online at http://www.govx.com.

The Fort Rock Festival is the opening concert of a series of concert festivals produced by Danny Wimmer Presents and AEG Live. Also among that list of concerts presented by Danny Wimmer Presents and AEG Live is are: Rock on the Range and Carolina Rebellion. It is also part of the kickoff of the World’s Loudest Month and the Florida kickoff along with Monster Energy’s Welcome to Rockville.
