Wanted Noise premiered its latest single and video this week.

The band debuted its new single, ‘More Sunrise’ Thursday, along with its companion video. The song — the second single from the band’s forthcoming album, Next Generation — is available to stream and download through Spotify and Apple Music. The premiere of ‘More Sunrise’ and its video comes more than seven months after the release of the band’s then latest single, ‘Go Get.’

The musical arrangement featured in ‘More Sunrise’ is a catchy, melodic work. The combination of its instrumentation and vocals makes it comparable to works from MxPx.

The lyrical theme featured in Wanted Noise’s new single is just one of enjoying life, as explained by guitarist Caleb Adkins in a statement about that topic and the song’s video.

“Inspiration for the song “More Sunrises” came after [bassist] Jin [Salamack] and I made a quick trip south from Santa Barbara back to San Diego, just before sun up,” said Adkins. After playing an epic show we were stoked on life and looking to personify the idea of recognizing the great times in life, in a ripping posi punk tune.”

Added Adkins, “The concept for this video came from a day in the life of the Wanted Noise crew.  In the making of this video we camped out for the weekend at our drummer’s –Taylor Wagnerowski — pad in Leucadia, with the whole band plus director/producer Jeff and director of photography Pat. It was a blast, bombing hills with Taylor riding sitting on a cooler on a longboard, skating through north county SD neighborhoods, and rocking out on the beach. Everywhere we went people were stoked and asking us about Wanted Noise. We chose to make our drummer Taylor the starring character, since drummers need love too!

Wanted Noise Debuts ‘Go Get’ Lyric Video

Independent surf punk band Wanted Noise debuted the video for its latest single this week.

The band — Sury Sherman (vocals, guitar)), Jim Salamack (bass, vocals), Caleb Atkins (guitar, vocals), and Taylor Wagnerowski (drums) — debuted the lyric video for its new song ‘Go Get‘ Thursday.  The video takes a minimalist approach, presenting the song’s lyrics on an animated chalk board.  The board is the only image on the otherwise white screen.

The musical arrangement featured in ‘Go Get’ is an up-tempo composition whose guitar, drums, and vocals lend themselves collectively to comparisons to works from fellow punk rock band Rancid.

The song’s lyrical theme encourages listeners to never give up on their dreams, according to Salamack.

“This single speaks for the youth and adults who never grew out of doing what they’re passionate about,” said Salamack. “Not giving up on your dreams by giving in to what society thinks is best for us. This song also speaks for this band. We met in college, got our degrees, but at the end of the day, we still would much rather be on stage sharing our experiences with our fans. Hopefully our music can inspire others, as the bands of our generation did for us.”

“’Go Get’ was a saying my high school track coach Gary Sanchez used to tell us at practice,” added Salamack. “If you want it bad enough, you need to go get, go get,” forgetting the ‘it.’ I swear he knew that it would spark a song title one day.”

‘Go Get’ is available to stream and download through Spotify and Apple Music.
