Early Details Announced For 2021 ESPN X Games Aspen

The 2021 ESPN X Games Aspen will go on.

COVID-19 will not stop the event from taking place as athletes and ESPN’s crews will return to Aspen Snowmass Ski Resort near Aspen, CO. The three-day event is scheduled to take place Jan. 29-31, with athletes competing in no less than 14 different disciplines. the full list of the upcoming games’ events is available here.

While the games will go on, COVID-19 restrictions will prevent the public from taking in the event in person. Though audiences will get to watch all the events take place on television on ESPN, EPN2, and ABC, as well as online.

New to the 2021 X Games Aspen is a virtual experience for fans. Audiences can create their own avatars, interact with sponsors, and even play games for chances to win prizes.

ESPN, ABC Kick Off Annual Winter X Games This Week

The eyes of the world will be on Sochi, Russia next month.  That’s because the people of Sochi will be hosting the Winter Olympics this year.  Before this year’s winter games kick off, ESPN’s annual Winter X Games will be the center of attention.

ESPN’s annual Winter X Games kick off this Thursday, January 23rd and runs through this Sunday, January 26th.  The Worldwide Leader in Sports celebrates a big anniversary as it celebrates its thirteenth anniversary holding the Winter X Games in Aspen.  Fans of the Winter X Games will have a lot to look forward to at this year’s event.  Both Snowboarder X and Snowmobile Long Jump return.  And making their debut this year are: Snowboard and Ski Slopestyle as well as Ski Superpipe.  The Winter X Games are the last stop for this year’s Olympians before they head to Sochi next month.  And audiences can check out in depth coverage of this year’s Winter X Games as ESPN and ABC will air a combined sixteen hours of live X Games Aspen coverage.  An additional ten hours of coverage will be available via ESPN3 and ESPN’s digital platforms.  This includes: XGames.com, X Games app, and the official X Games Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr pages.
