Hard rock band Oceanhoarse debuted its latest single and video over the weekend.

The band premiered its new single, ‘Logos‘ and the song’s video Friday. The new single is an intense composition that blends thrash metal leanings with more melodic hard rock influence for a whole that is certain to keep listeners engaged and entertained.

Drummer Oskari Niemi talked about the song’s arrangement in a prepared statement:

“This song is one big jin and jang,” said Niemi. “It starts with the most aggressive music we have made but changes into a mystical spring rain kinda vibe.”

Bassist Silver Ots expanded on his band mate’s comments.

“The riff catches you by the throat immediately and the song eases only in the middle section where it turns the jet engines off and goes gliding in the night sky,” said Ots. “This is of course followed by an ass-ripping guitar solo and eventual crash-and-burn-heavy riff leaving no survivors.”

No information was provided regarding the song’s lyrical theme in the news release announcing the debut of the band’s new single and video. The lyrics provided with the video leave room for interpretation. The interpretation from this critic is that of the song being a religious commentary. That could be incorrect, however.

The video is a familiar style presentation for any band. It features the band live on stage as the song plays over the visualization.

‘Logos’ came more than two months after the debut of the band’s then latest single, ‘Killer & The Queen.’ That song took more of a metalcore approach than the approach taken in the song’s latest song. Audiences can argue a certain comparison to works from Killswitch Engage in ‘Killer & The Queen.’
