Co-Op is finally giving audiences their first preview of its new album.
The band debuted the lyric video for its new single ‘N.O.W.‘ this week. The video features shots of the band’s front man Dash Cooper (son of rock legend Alice Cooper) singing the song’s lyrics as the lyrics appear on screen throughout. The song is taken from the band’s forthcoming self-titled debut album, which is currently scheduled to be released June 15 via EMP Label Group.
Filmed and edited by Melody Myers (Escape The Fate, Asking Alexandra, Marc Rizzo, Combat Records), the video also features a cameo appearance of sorts from Cooper’s dad. His appearance is vocal only. It is an introduction to the song that Cooper provided from his nationally syndicated radio show Nights With Alice Cooper.
Cooper backed up that introduction with additional comment saying he really believed in the song.
“The single, it’s really great,” Cooper said. “Even on the radio show, I said “I’m not just playing this band because it’s my son’s band, it’s playing because I really like this.” I really like this music. It’s a band with some fire.”
