Veteran ska-punk outfit Less Than Jake is doing its part to help people who have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak.

The band has launched a new series of releases titled “Lost at Home Sessions.” The first release in the series, Just Like Andy is available now through the band’s official Bandcamp page at a price of $5.  While the recording is titled “Volume One” it is in fact one song.

Proceeds of the song’s sale will go to benefit the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund.  the fund was established by the nonprofit MusiCares, which offers financial, medical and medical emergency assistance for musicians who are in need.

The band offered a statement about the songs that will make up the band’s “Lost At Home Sessions.”

“being cooped up at home like the rest of you, we thought it would be fun to keep the creative juices flowing and see if we could make music from five separate locations,” the statement reads.  “That’s right, we’ve never played these songs together.  It’s kind of an experiment, but we’re gonna have fun.”

As an added motivation to purchase the new song, the band is giving audiences the chance to win prizes, such as a rare glow-in-the-dark bobblehead and equally rare, out-of-print vinyls from the band. Entries are made through the purchase of the song.

The entry window for the band’s contest closes May 22.
