Mushroomhead is set to release its latest album this summer.
The band recently announced plans to release its next album, Call The Devil, Aug. 9 through Napalm Records. The band’s ninth album, it is also the second album the band will have released through Napalm Records. The band released its first album for Napalm Records, A Wonderful Life in 2020.
In anticipation of the album’s pending release, the group premiered the record’s lead single, ‘Fall in Line‘ and its companion video June 13. The song’s musical arrangement is familiar territory from the band. Audiences familiar with the band’s catalog will hear much of the melodic Euro-metal style approach that the band has used so much while also incorporating some heavier industrial leanings this time out. The result is a unique work that is engaging and entertaining throughout.
No information was provided about the song’s lyrical theme in the news release announcing the information regarding the new album, single and video. Lyrics were not provided with the song’s video, either. The lyrics provided via genius.com leave plenty of room for interpretation.
The song’s video is unique in its presentation, too. It features the band members in a room painted red, each adding their own part to the song as the new composition plays over the straight forward visualization.

In other news Mushroomhead will tour Europe this summer in support of its new album. The tour is scheduled to launch Aug. 9 in Bochum, Germany and is set to run through Aug. 19 in Berlin, Germany. Fellow masked metal outfit Dymytry will share time as support for the brief run alongside Silenzer. Dymytry’s run on the tour is in support of its own latest album, Five Angry Men. The album was released in January through AFM Records.
A North American tour will follow beginning Oct. 4 in Buffalo, NY with support from Upon A Burning Body, Mind Incision, and There Is No Us. The tour is scheduled to run through Oct. 26 in Mushroomhead’s hometown of Cleveland, OH.
