The Dollyrots unveiled the official video for its single, ‘Trees Sway’ this week.
The premiere came Wednesday, more than two months after the band debuted the song’s lyric video. The song is one of a number of singles featured in the band’s latest album, Night Owls.
The new video features vocalist Kelly Ogden singing the song along the side of a road and walking through a lightly forested area as the song plays over the visualization. No information was provided about where the video was recorded in the news release announcing the video’s premiere.
Ogden, in early March, discussed the song’s lyrical theme briefly, saying the song “[is] about love, loss, and reincarnation. Things we believe in deep down and oftentimes find hard to articulate.”
‘Trees Sway’ is one of nine total singles that Night Owls has produced. The album has also spawned the singles: ‘Can’t Tell You Why,’ ‘I Just Wanna Play Dead,’ ‘5+5,’ ‘Tonight With You,’ ‘Hot Mom With The Skinny Pants On,’ ‘Alligator,’ ‘When We’re Sober,‘ Hey Girl,’ and the album’s lead single/title track.
In other news, the duo is scheduled to hit the road this summer alongside Diesel Boy and Go Betty Go. The tour is set to launch June 14 in Seattle, WA. It is scheduled to run through June 23 in San Diego, CA. Following that tour, the band will join The Boreouts and Soraia for an East Coast run spanning July 11 in Jacksonville, FL and July 27 in Charleston, SC.
